Department Overview
The Science Department at Lambert High School is committed to helping our students learn science by doing science. We strive for excellence in the classroom through cooperative and collaborative learning efforts between students and teachers. Our goals include helping our students develop the critical thinking skills required for success in scientific endeavors in and out of the classroom, as well as helping them relate and apply abstract scientific concepts to real-world problems. We foster a learning environment that is both nurturing and challenging. Students are encouraged to take ownership of their roles and responsibilities in their own learning experience, while still being fully supported by the faculty members. Most of all we want to encourage a love of science and an awareness of its place in the world around us.
