Club Description: The VT Seva Atlanta club is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. VT Seva stands for Volunteering Together for Seva. Seva means Service. VT Seva has an active presence in more than 25 branches across the USA and does more than 300 service activities, serving local communities with active youth leadership and participation.
Its purpose is to empower youth through participation in volunteer work and philanthropy projects. Volunteers learn how to plan, develop, and implement various projects that benefit our community as a whole.
The projects which the club will undertake will be Atlanta heart walk, helping special need kids (thank-you cards), Eco-friendly projects (adopting a road, planting trees, recycling), helping the needy (Atlanta Food Bank, Meals By Grace), tutoring younger kids, assisting in organizing blood donation camps, helping at local libraries, volunteering in health camps,
serving senior citizens, and participating in projects like Habitat for Humanity, Hands On Atlanta, Toys for Tots, etc. Club meetings will be every month, and minutes will be taken of the meeting proceedings.
This club will aid Lambert (LHS) students in enhancing their leadership skills, public speaking, and teamwork. It will also ingrain service attitude, and values like kindness, integrity, responsibility, and accountability, which help in all-round development of the students.
