XR (Extended Reality)

Club Overview:

With the constant advancement of our world, technology continues to rapidly develop and transform our everyday lives. XR stands for Extended Reality, and is an umbrella term referring to virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR). 

XR is a student-led organization dedicated to showcasing and educating students about how these three pillars of immersive technology will be incorporated in the future.

 

Club Meeting Times:

First meeting will be held on August 24, 2022 @ 7:45am  ~ “Meet the Officers”

Monthly meeting - 3rd Wednesday of every month @ 7:45am 

 

Club Activities or Events:

As XR becomes more prevalent, many people will benefit from utilizing these technologies in their daily lives. We are here to educate and enlighten students on how XR can be used in their future endeavors.

 

Future Events/Goals:

- Discuss latest developments in XR 

- Invite XR technology leaders to share how XR is evolving in its field

- Contact XR tech companies to test out latest technology to educate LHS and local school students

- Attend annual XR conference
