Amanda Thrower - Principal

It is such an honor to serve as the principal of Lambert High School! As a parent of a Lambert graduate, current Lambert senior, and future Longhorn, and as a longtime member of this incredible community, it is a true joy and privilege to lead Longhorn Nation.

Since beginning my career in Forsyth County in 2002, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in a variety of roles, including ELA classroom teacher, Media Specialist, Instructional Technology Specialist, Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal at both the middle and high school levels, and as Principal of Liberty Middle School. Now in my third year as principal of Lambert, I am grateful every day for the opportunity to serve this exceptional school and my home community.

I hold a bachelor’s degree from Berry College, a master’s degree from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), and an Ed.S. from Nova Southeastern University.

It is my goal that Lambert is a place where all Longhorns grow toward their potential and are inspired & empowered to LEAD well, LIVE well, and LOVE well.

Sarah Barlow - Assistant Principal

I absolutely love being a Longhorn! I began my teaching career 13 years ago at Riverwatch Middle School where I taught Language Arts and served as an Instructional Coach and Student Support Coordinator. I also served as Liberty Middle School's Instructional Coach.  I graduated from Georgia College (Go Bobcats!) with a degree in Middle Grades Education. From there I moved to Athens and worked on my Master's in Middle Grades Education from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). I also have a Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction. I absolutely love the teaching and learning process and finding ways for learning to come alive in the classroom!  When I'm not at school, my husband, Davis, and I are raising our two children- Collins (9) and Greer (6).  I am so excited for another year to lead, live, and love alongside the Lambert Community! Hook 'EM!

Scott Dean - Assistant Principal

I am excited and honored to continue serving this incredible community. This year marks my 28th year in education, a journey that has included roles as a science and physical education teacher across various schools in Dekalb and Douglas County. With experience as a teacher, coach, and administrator, I can confidently say that we are all incredibly fortunate to be part of a community that prioritizes the needs and growth of students and families.

I earned my B.S. in Education from Mercer University and my Master’s in Educational Leadership from Jacksonville State University. 

On a personal note, I am a proud father of five amazing children, four of whom are Lambert grads. My wonderful wife, Emily, is also an educator in Dawson County.

Kristen Fowler - Assistant Principal

I am excited to begin my 5th year serving the students and families of Longhorn Nation! Prior to joining the administrative team at Lambert, I taught both Language Arts and ESOL for 8 years and served as an Assistant Principal for an additional 8 years in Gwinnett County. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Secondary English Education from UGA (Go, Dawgs!), my master's and specialist degrees from Piedmont College, and my Educational Leadership Certificate from UGA. I am married and have two sons who attend Forsyth County schools and also have a dog named Jasper. We are all proud to call Forsyth County our home. Hook 'em, Horns!

Thurston Howard - Assistant Principal, Athletic Director

I am honored to serve as Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Lambert High School for the 2025–2026 school year. Prior to my time at Lambert, I served as an Assistant Administrator at Denmark High School, where I had the privilege of being a part of the staff that opened the school. I also worked at North Oconee High School as the Physical Education Department Head and coached multiple sports. My professional background is rooted in a passion for student growth, both in the classroom and through athletics.

I hold a Bachelor's in Sport Management from the University of Georgia, a Specialist in Instructional Technology, and an Educational Leadership Certificate from the University of West Georgia.

My wife and I have two sons, and our family is thrilled to wear Crimson and Black and yell Hook 'em!

Jes O'Kelley - Assistant Principal

This is my fourth year as a member of the Longhorn family. I have been in education for 17 years, previously serving in Fulton County and at Georgia Cyber Academy, where I have held several leadership positions and taught Spanish. I have a Bachelor's in Spanish and Linguistics from The University of Georgia, a Master's in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix, an Educational Leadership Certificate from Georgia Southern University, and a Specialist in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University. I just completed my Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Kennesaw State. My husband and I are the proud parents of two boys, and my family lives in Woodstock, GA. I love serving our Lambert students and connecting with the families in this wonderful community. Hook 'em, Horns!

Rebecca Parker - Assistant Principal

I am very blessed to be such a longtime member of Lambert High School. This is my fourth year serving on the Administrative Team and I spent eight years prior to that teaching AP Psychology and assisting with the Varsity Girls Soccer Team.

Prior to joining Lambert, I worked at Alpharetta High School as an AP Psychology teacher and Varsity Girls Soccer Coach. I hold a Bachelor's in Secondary Education Social Science and a Master of Arts in Health Studies, both from The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!). My husband is an Assistant Principal at West Forsyth High School, and I have two boys that attend Forsyth County Schools as well. Charlie and Gunner round out the family as they serve as Lambert and West Forsyth Therapy Dogs. Hook 'em!

It is a privilege to join the administrative team for the 2025-2026 school year. As a proud Longhorn since 2014, I have sought out opportunities to serve our community in a variety of capacities. I have coached baseball and swim and dive, sponsored Beta Club, and taught a variety of English subjects—all with the common goal of working with students from as many walks of life as possible. Having grown up in the Detroit area, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education: English from Western Michigan University. Since then, I have earned a Master’s in Education from the University of Georgia and an Educational Specialist in Advanced Curriculum from Augusta University. My wife, Cara, is a school counselor at Settle’s Bridge Elementary, and we have wonderful twin sons, Andrew and Jonathan. We are proud to live, work, and raise our children in this amazing community.

I am excited and honored to join the Lambert Community as the Graduation Coach for the 2025–2026 school year. I’ve been in education for five years, serving as an English teacher at East Forsyth High School since 2021, where I also held roles as English Department Chair and Head Track & Field Coach. I earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Georgia.

Outside of school, I love spending time with my wonderful wife, Brittany, and our dog, Millie. I’m truly thrilled to become part of the Lambert family—Hook ‘em!
